A. Ammaar (عمار) is the name of an eminent Sahaabi, Ammaar bin Yaasir Radhiallahu Anhu. Hence, it is an excellent name to be kept for one’s child.
If the name Ammaar (عمار) is pronounced as Ammaar (امار) with the letter Alif instead of the letter Ain, it does not refer to ‘Nafs-e-Amaarah’ (the ego) or carry any evil connotation. It simply means inspirer. However, the name of a child should be pronounced correctly.
