Rewarded for Non-Stop Prayer

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Each one of you is counted as being in a state of prayer as long as he is waiting for it.” [Targheeb]

What this means is that the person who is in the Masjid for the commencement of the Salaat in congregation, or comes to the Masjid as soon as it is time for the
Salaat, or even while taking care of their business and work is constantly mindful of the time for prayer, so that they don’t miss it, is rewarded for their alertness
by being counted as one who is constantly in a state of prayer.
